$1.00 off Coupon for Fred's Diapers

In my constant quest to help y'all find cheap diapers , I feel compelled to pass this on to whomever could use it.   I got a coupon in the mail yesterday for $1.00 off Fred's Kids diapers .  I don't have a Fred's near me, nor do I need any more diapers at the moment (thank you, effective potty training!!), so I'd like to send this to someone who could use it.  (exp 4/30/2012)   Email me ( AtlantasFrugalMom@gmail.com ) if interested, with the subject line:  Fred's coupon .  First come, first served.  :o) Go here to see if there's one near you.  I see there are locations in Austell, Forest Park, Conyers, Douglasville, and Cartersville; but also around the southeast.  And if you ARE lucky enough to have a one near you,, please note Fred's double coupons up to $0.70 every Saturday. Woo hooo!

UPDATE: Northside Baby Alumni Club & Zoo Atlanta

I got quite a few inquiries about yesterday's post (see below), so I tried to do a little more digging on the event at Zoo Atlanta.  ...I'll be honest, I couldn't find much, but I found a number to call at Northside and spoke with someone in the Northside Hospital Foundation department, and the event IS open to "all Northside babies, and their families and siblings".  Please do just keep in mind the donations you are asked to contribute.   You can register for the event by emailing  foundation.RSVP@northside.com .  If you'd like further information, call 770-667-4483. If your little one was born at Northside, you may get an invite in the mail for a free evening at Zoo Atlanta.  Our little monkey was born there two years ago, so we are apparently part of the Northside Hospital Baby Alumni Club. Here's the gist of what the postcard says: * Saturday, June 4, 2011, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm *  Admission is free , but you are encouraged to bring a donation to the A

Storing & Organizing Your Coupons - The Evolution of My Coupon Organization

Many of you have asked me how I store and haul my coupons.  I'm not going to lie: I have yet to  perfect my system(s), but with each attempt, it seems to be getting easier as I go!  I'll take you through my coupon storage evolution, and perhaps you will find a system that meets your needs along the way.   Particularly if you are a couponing newbie, I know storing and organizing your coupons can be quite daunting and prove to be an overwhelming task, to say the least.  I'll confess that I still find the process a bit too much at times, and I've been couponing my entire adult life.  Truth be told, most Sundays, I dread the task of clipping and organizing; sometimes it drags in to Mondays as well.  (Does that make anyone feel better???) \ Please keep in mind that you will need to create your own system that works for you .  Feel free to borrow these ideas, but you'll need to make your own tweaks to make it your own.  :o)

FREE Hefty Travel bags at Target!

Today at Target, (yes, my toy store!), I perused the travel-sized products , as I usually do.  I noticed these Hefty One Zip "Travel Bags" (7 ct, quart size) for $0.99.   I paired it with my $1.00 off coupons ( $1/2 Hefty One Zip Packages, exp. 5-31-11 [RP 02/20/11] ).  The way the coupon was worded, it said "one count or higher".  Thus, I was able to get the bags for FREE!  WOO HOO! Have I mentioned lately how very much I love Target??!?  :*)  Speaking of which, check out their printable coupons -- you can stack their store coupons with manufacture coupons for even deeper savings!

Comfort Zone Heating and Air

Today seems like the perfect day to remind you about the awesome service I got from Comfort Zone! When my husband and I decided we couldn't endure another hot Atlanta summer, we called quite a few companies to get quotes to improve our heating and air system. I'll spare you the details, but basically, we were looking to cool our two-story home, plus the basement, which we were in the early stages of finishing. The previous owners had put in a system that was a code-nightmare. In fact, just about every company we had out wanted to take pictures of the unit, so their co-workers could see it for themselves! (Yeah, it was that bad.) We had some very reputable, well-known companies come out, and all four provided quite different solutions. But only Comfort Zone suggested REPLACING the current unit, and doing so at a comparable price as the other guys. We ended up getting a new unit installed in the basement, for the first floor and the basement; and another new unit installed in t

$5 off WYB Pampers @ Kroger

When I went to Kroger the other day, two interesting things came out of the catalina.  One was for a FREE Yoplait Greek Yogurt.   And since the lady in front of me at the self checkout didn't take hers, I scored TWO of them!  Woo hoo!  Let's just say, it took a ton of restraint to not do the Elaine dance, right then and there. Also not to start sifting through the trash cans around the self-checkout, to hunt for more of those coupons...  But, yet again, I digress. The other thing that came out of the catalina was an ad for Kroger's latest deal with Pampers diapers.  WYB $10 worth of Pampers diapers and/or wipes, you get a coupon for $2 off your next trip.  Also, WYB $20 worth of Pampers, you'll get a coupon for $5 off your next trip.  This offer runs through 5/14/2011.  In my ever-present quest to find cheap diapers , I thought this was just an okay deal at best.  Pampers don't seem to be on sale this week (nor have they since this started at the begining of May)

Sunday Coupon Preview - Unwrapping a Gift Early??

Have you checked out the Sunday Coupon Preview before?  I have from time to time, mainly for the purposes of this blog.   I must admit, however, my Sunday coupon inserts are like a little gift I look forward to each week, and peeking at them ahead of the time feels a bit like cheating, like an impatient kid on Christmas Eve, sneaking down the stairs to see the loot from Santa.   Wait, did I make it sound like the SCP is a bad thing?  Oh, on the contrary -- it can help you plan shopping trips, and also can serve as a coupon database of sorts.  So, if you haven't already, I insist you give them a try.  After all, who doesn't like it when Christmas comes early?  ;o)

All's Quiet on the Frugal Front

My dear readers, you've most likely noticed the pace around here has been a bit sluggish the last month.  My apologies for not keeping abreast with all the goings-on in the frugal world as of late.  Please be assured that I am  working behind the scenes, and am preparing for a few major undertakings, TBA.  (That's all I can say for now; trust me, big stuff is underway!)   Along with these changes, I've been dealing with a toddler who suddenly loathes naps and bedtime, which was the prime time in which I could work on the blog.  Add to it, her adventurous curiosity, which leads her to parts of the house unknown, like snaking through the GATED back stair case by fitting through the upper posts (!!); sneaking in to the garage from the kitchen, and heading towards the door to the back porch, with school bus in hand (of course?!); and trying to fill up the bathtub, with her in it, while Mommy scrubbed crayon off the kitchen walls.  And that's just the highlights from this m

Headed by Wayne, who came out initially to give us a quo
