Avoid SPAM!!

I just wanted to post a quick warning/reminder about external links posted by others on this blog, on my Facebook wall, or Tweeted to me.  I do NOT advise clicking on these links, as it is very likely spam comments, especially if posted by good ol' "Anonymous".  While I have filters in place to catch this, need I say, nothing is foolproof.  Thus, please heed this warning, as I just deleted 3 comments with spammy-looking links this morning.

Thus, please also note if you post links on my Facebook page, on the blog, or Tweet them to me and I cannot vouch for you, they will be deleted promptly.  If you wish for me to help you or your organization, please contact me so I can post properly.

This message holds true, not just for Atlanta's Frugal Mom, but for any of your favorite blogs as well.

Ditching the Sponge

Ditching the Sponge This summer I accomplished something I once thought unthinkable: I gave up the sponge.  It was a gripping addiction, harder to kick than a nasty nicotine habit.   ...a habit that had the ability to spar k the silliest of arguments amongst even the best of   roomies.  Right, SwimBikeMom ?  :P  But once again, I digress; that's a blog for another day. Perhaps a tad  OCD, I was one of *those* people who had a sponge designated for various parts of the kitchen: one for the floor, one for the counters, and another one for dishes.  I knew for quite some time that sponges were a breeding ground for all things disgusting; however, I was not keen on the idea of using paper towels, or other disposable products -- I had  to find a GREEN alternative to sponges.
