My daughter and I took a li'l trip to my dearly beloved Target this morning, and -as always- I had to check out the trial/travel size section. Was I ever-elated to see multiple items with those lovely red stickers on them -- the amount of stuff on clearance was enough to send me in to overdrive! I'm happy to say, I showed a wee bit restraint. :o)

Keep in mind: clearance items may vary by store, but here are some of the highlights I saw at my location today. (I could only stand to be in there for so long, afraid I would overheat with excitement!!)

Finally, this isn't a clearance item, but you can get a good deal right now on Nature Valley and/or Fiber One granola bars. They're currently B4G1, priced at 4 for $10. (That's $2.00 each with the 5th one.) Use these printable coupons for $0.75/2 to maximize your savings!

In conclusion, my love affair with Target continues. Yeah, I love that place so much I would marry -- well, I won't go there. :o) Y'all have a great weekend!

Ditching the Sponge This summer I accomplished something I once thought unthinkable: I gave up the sponge. It was a gripping addiction, harder to kick than a nasty nicotine habit. ...a habit that had the ability to spar k the silliest of arguments amongst even the best of roomies. Right, SwimBikeMom ? :P But once again, I digress; that's a blog for another day. Perhaps a tad OCD, I was one of *those* people who had a sponge designated for various parts of the kitchen: one for the floor, one for the counters, and another one for dishes. I knew for quite some time that sponges were a breeding ground for all things disgusting; however, I was not keen on the idea of using paper towels, or other disposable products -- I had to find a GREEN alternative to sponges.
