Product Recalls

I've a few recalls to share:

Children's Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets and Junior Strength Motrin Caplets
Along with the FDA, McNeil has voluntarily recalled Children's Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets (cherry and grape flavor) and Junior Strength Motrin Caplets (24 ct).  According to the FDAs website, the products being recalled "revealed insufficiencies in the development of the manufacturing process", and the recall seems to be a protective, proactive measure.  For further questions, contact McNiel's Consumer Care at 1-888-222-6036.

According to the CThis recall involves all children’s hooded sweatshirts and nylon hooded jackets with drawstring sold under the brand name “VOS Sports.” The sweatshirt and jackets were sold in assorted sizes including S-M or L and in up to 14 colors. “VOS Sports” and “RN#94353” are printed on the sewn-in label. Bassettbaby dropside cribs with plastic hardware  Another dropside crib is being recalled, this one sold from January 2000 through August 2010.  According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the risks these cribs pose include infant entrapment due to partially detached rails, among other concerns.  For additional information, contact Bassettbaby at 1-800-308-7485, or go to www.bassettbaby.com.

Ditching the Sponge

Ditching the Sponge This summer I accomplished something I once thought unthinkable: I gave up the sponge.  It was a gripping addiction, harder to kick than a nasty nicotine habit.   ...a habit that had the ability to spar k the silliest of arguments amongst even the best of   roomies.  Right, SwimBikeMom ?  :P  But once again, I digress; that's a blog for another day. Perhaps a tad  OCD, I was one of *those* people who had a sponge designated for various parts of the kitchen: one for the floor, one for the counters, and another one for dishes.  I knew for quite some time that sponges were a breeding ground for all things disgusting; however, I was not keen on the idea of using paper towels, or other disposable products -- I had  to find a GREEN alternative to sponges.
