Office Depot Money-Makers

Office Depot's weekly ad
My toy store has some great deals this week!  Um, and by that I mean, check out the awesome sales at Office Depot, and possibly turn this in to a money-maker!!  I know this looks rather busy, but if you're in need of some nifty office supplies (especially sticky labels and Scotch tape), or just want to stock up, this is worthwhile.  :o)

First, go NOW to print* this coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase at Office Depot.  (Thanks Little House on the Prairie Living, for posting this coupon!  And thanks Money Saving Mom for directing me to LHOTPL.)  There are a variety of scenarios to make this work, depending on your needs.  Play with it to help maximize your savings.

Here's a few pointers to help you out:

  • Purchase up to 2 reams of Multipurpose paper for $6.99 (There's a $5.99 rebate per ream, so you'll end up paying a buck each afterwards.)
  • Purchase up to packs of Post-It Removable Label Pads for $1 each, use this coupon* or this coupon* for $1 off (yep, that makes them free!)
  • Purchase up to 2 Scotch Donut Dispensers for $1 each (think of all the gifts you'll soon be wrapping in about two months! -- ho! ho! ho!), and use this coupon* for $0.50 off each dispenser  AND/OR
  • Purchase Scotch Donut Dispenser in increments of three for $1 each, use the coupon for $1 off 3 rolls (from Sunday paper a few weeks ago, EXP 11/19/2010)

You can also combine this with this Post-It Rebate.  For this deal, you must buy $20 or more of any 3M™ Permanent Label and/or Post-it® Removable Label products by December 31, 2010, and receive a $10 rebate by mail.  (Thanks, Freebies4Mom for this information!)

And while you're in my toy store, make sure you sign up for either their Work Life rewards program or for their Star Teacher program, if you're eligible.  It's a great way to get cash back on purchases every quarter.  (I have a gift card for a whopping $18.30 from my Star Teacher account, and plan to put a nice dent in it when I take advantage of the deals this week at Office Depot.

Happy shopping!!

* - Remember to be honest and ethical with coupons at all times.  This $10/$20 coupon is a PDF, so please only print ONE -- let's uphold the Coupon Code, folks!  For the Post-It coupon, I think it is ethical to print two, but don't go nuts folks!!  :o)

Ditching the Sponge

Ditching the Sponge This summer I accomplished something I once thought unthinkable: I gave up the sponge.  It was a gripping addiction, harder to kick than a nasty nicotine habit.   ...a habit that had the ability to spar k the silliest of arguments amongst even the best of   roomies.  Right, SwimBikeMom ?  :P  But once again, I digress; that's a blog for another day. Perhaps a tad  OCD, I was one of *those* people who had a sponge designated for various parts of the kitchen: one for the floor, one for the counters, and another one for dishes.  I knew for quite some time that sponges were a breeding ground for all things disgusting; however, I was not keen on the idea of using paper towels, or other disposable products -- I had  to find a GREEN alternative to sponges.
