$10 Rite Aid gift card

In the September issue of Fitness  magazine, there is an promotion for a $10 Rite Aid gift card, when you purchase one of the following featured items at a Rite Aid store:

Rite Aid - Video Values

You've heard me talk about Rite Aid 's "Ad Perks" program in the past.  It seems they are working to improve their program even more, and have revved up the site a bit, making it more user-friendly.

Printable Coupons 101

Not a fan of clipping coupons, or simply want a way to print them instead?  Most coupons offered in the Sunday papers are also available online, usually for the duration of a month.  There are a few major websites to check out:

Kellogg's All-Bran FREE Promise Pack Offer

All-Bran periodically has a promotional offer for their free Promise Pack.  It's more than just a sample of their cereal: last time, it included two generous cereal samples, about $4 in coupons, and a package of marigold seeds.  (I'm told that the one before that had a sleeping mask!)   Sign up to receive your Promise Pack, while supplies last!

Kroger Diapers & Baby/Toddler Snacks

I just returned from a trip to my Kroger, and discovered some great deals. Their store brand diapers are on sale for $4.99 a pack. If you wish not to hassle with coupons, and don't mind the store brand, this is a great deal! (I believe their store brand is called "Comforts".) Also, MY Kroger had the following in shopping carts up front on clearance: - "Comforts for Toddlers" Little Fruits: Strawberry Banana for $0.99 (regularly $2.00) - "Comforts for Toddlers" Little Puffs: Peach Mango for $0.59 (regularly $1.27) These are similar to Gerber's Puffs) I don't know if your Kroger will have these things as well, but if your store has a usual spot where they put clearance items, check it out!

Georgia Aquarium - two current deals

There are currently two deals of interest at the Georgia Aquarium. The first is a special running through November 12: $15 admission tickets.  If I am reading this correctly, the $15 covers the cost of admission, plus the cost of the additional galleries.  Tickets must be purchased online.  This is part of their Imagination Days , so check it out for more details.

Babies R Us: Trade-In Event

Who ? Babies R Us What ? "The Great Trade In": Trade in any old equipment (car seats, strollers, travel system, high chair, play yard, bassinet, crib, toddler bed) and recieve a  discount of 25% towards your same-day purchase of any above listed items*.

Discussion: Where do you take your child around town?

Readers: Where do you take your kids around town? I am always on the lookout for more great places to take my toddler (free, or almost free....but preferably for free).  We frequent the pool when it's open, the local playgrounds (like Brooke Run ), story times and  "Building Blocks" at the local libaries .  I've taken her to Discover Mills a few times as well; it seems to be fairly kid-friendly there, too. Anyone been to the playground near PDK?  There seems to be a buzz about it! What are some other places that are fun for kids?  We can only take so many leisurely trips to Target and the mall!

CVS & Pampers

Today I got 2 packages of Pampers and 2 tubs of wipes.  After coupons, I was out of pocket $6.00.  Woo hoo!

Purex Complete 3-in-1 @ CVS AND AMO Complete Multipurpose Solution @ Rite Aid

There are two deals this week, one at CVS, the other at Rite Aid.

Ripping the Band Aid

I'm just going to go ahead and put the blog out there for you all to see and judge and snub.....  I'm too much of a perfectionist, and if I wait until all is just so, it may never be out there.....  So, here goes! **Just be kind, and remember that it is a MAJOR work in progress at the moment.**

Looking Beyond Gimmicks in Sales

Okay, here's where I'm probably going to stray from the herd a bit, as I see many fellow Money-Saving-Mommy-Bloggers posting to the contrary here...  But I strongly feel that what's being done in most instances is purely a marketing ploy to (duh!) get you in to their store, and to (double duh!) buy their products!  The current marketing trend is to advertise for "free", very cheap deals, or even "money-makers" when paired with coupons.

Target Web-Site: Coupons, Clearance, and Daily Deals (MUST SEE!)

Any Target fan needs to be aware of these three parts of their website: daily deals, coupons, and clearance items.  They're like hidden gems, but I'm going to lessen your search.

Rite Aid is Rite On!!!

If you are fortunate enough to have one (or 3!) near you, go check out Rite Aid !  I will be the first to caution you about their regular store prices, they aren't so hot.  However, when you pair them up with the deals they always have going on, the savings can really add up.  Let me count the ways:
