**sigh**  With a heavy heart, I am reluctantly parting with even more of my teaching material.  I dropped off a good bit to Goodwill last night, but there's more that just isn't Goodwill material.  (Copies of workbooks, posters, etc.)  SO, I would like to find a school in need to donate this stuff to.  I taught special education at the elementary school level, and have plenty of English/Language Arts materials, math, and social studies stuff that needs a good home.  For instance, I have a good  collection of social studies class books, related mostly to American history, so it would be great material for a 4th, 5th, or higher classroom.  I also have plenty of other trade books, from a wide reading range. If you know of a good school within the metro area that could use the material, please contact me .  Even if I find myself teaching elementary school again, I'd rather it be put to use NOW, rather than sit in my house and collect dust.  I'd be happy to arrange a meetin

I got all this for $11.91 -- the Tide, Pampers wipes (pictured below), and deodorant were all FREE. I frequently brag about never paying more than $5 for a pack of diapers.  It's one item I refuse to pay full price for, particularly given what will -ahem- end up in them... Recently, I was asked how the heck I manage such a feat.  With this question, I realized I've overlooked explaining a few basics to y'all.  So, I will happily reveal my diaper-buying secrets.  :o) (And, yes, most of these tips can be applied to just about anything you frequently buy.) Good things come in small packages.   And I'm not just referring to yours truly. ;o)  With most items I buy with coupons, I find that nine times out of ten, I can get the best deal, not by buying in bulk, but by purchasing the smallest package .  Using coupons drives down the unit price significantly more when you buy the smaller item.  This theory will almost always hold water.  Every blue moon, I find a good deal on a box of diapers, but the vast majority of diapers I've purchased in the last two ye

What is it they say about an offer being too good to be true?  Yep, sometimes this is the case. In the meantime, I'm off to the Apple store tomorrow after work, and will hopefully be more "connected" after my iPhone is fixed.  (Fingers crossed for a fast, easy, and CHEAP fix! )
